Keeping You Informed
When you become a client, our job is not just financial planning and investment management. It’s also vital we keep you very well informed. Surveys show one of the top reasons people are not satisfied with their financial advisor is the lack of communication. We get it. We need to know where our money is too!
But it is especially important during times of volatility. When the stock market makes dramatic moves, it automatically creates fear for investors—that’s simply human nature. We understand that and know this is when many investors make expensive mistakes. So when the markets start moving, so do we! We’ll be in touch with you more often. Expect to hear from us more frequently by email. Then we’re always a quick email or phone call away for more information.
In addition to being available when you need us by email, skype or phone, we also will communicate with you at regular intervals:
Reporting. You have 24/7 access to your accounts, updated real-time, through the secure emX platform. In addition, you will receive quarterly performance reports (for Schwab accounts) and real-time performance reports from Betterment and monthly statements from your custodian.
Meetings. We will schedule frequent meetings with you—at least twice per year. These may be virtual or in person at our Houston office. We are also happy to meet with you at other times when you need it, just contact us to schedule.
Email/phone calls. We will check in with you monthly by email or phone. And of course, we are available when you need us, either by email or by phone.
Call/email return policy. Your emails and calls are important to us. We will return them as quickly as possible, and usually within 2 hours during normal business hours. If your dedicated advisor is out of town, then another Guided team member may respond to your call, to make sure you get the answers you need.
Investor education. At Guided Wealth, we believe the more you know, the more motivated you will be to achieve your financial goals. That’s a win for us too! So we frequently host webinars and offer educational content on our website to keep you informed.
